Brian Eisenberg

VARSITY HEAD COACH

Brian is the Founder of NOC Lacrosse, Co-Director of So Cal Express Lacrosse, Co-Director of Alliance Lacrosse, an Assistant Coach for Pomona Pitzer Colleges Womens Lacrosse (NCAA DIII). And now he is the Varsity Coach for Huntington Beach High School Girls Lacrosse.    Eisenberg's womens lacrosse coaching career began In 2009.  In the inaugural year of womens lacrosse at Chapman University, where he earned Western Womens Lacrosse League (WWLL) Division II Coach of the Year honors. In 2011, Eisenberg's third season as head coach at Chapman, the team went undefeated (17 - 0) to win Division II regional (WWLL) and national (WCLA) championships, which earned him 2011 Coach of the Year for both the WWLL and WCLA Division II.   ​ Since 2012, Brian has spent time at the youth and high school levels growing the game of Girls Lacrosse in Orange County!   In the Fall of 2017, Brian joined the Pomona Pitzer Sagehens (NCAA DIII) coaching staff.  In his first two years, the young team made it to the conference championship both years.  The 2020 season was cut short due to Covid as the hens were 7-0. After no season in 2021, the 2022 Sagehens were undefeated in the regular season and eventually lost in the NCAA DIII Sweet 16 to Tufts University, ending the season 18 - 1. In 2023, the Sagehens made it to the NCAA Elite 8.    Eisenbergs coaching experience initially came from the boys side of the game, where he was the Director of So Cal Youth Lacrosse, Head Coach of Tesoro High School (2005 - 2011), Director of the Olympian Starz Lacrosse, and was the General Manager of the Relentless Lacrosse program (all in Rancho Santa Margarita).  While at So Cal Youth Lacrosse, they were the biggest youth boys lacrosse organization in Orange County with as many as 10 teams per season.  While at Tesoro High School, the program made the Orange County playoffs every season, won their league title twice (Undefeated in 2008) and were ranked as high as #2 in Orange County (in 2011).  ​ In addition to coaching, Eisenberg has also had the opportunity to work as a team manager with two local professional lacrosse teams, the Anaheim Storm (NLL - indoor) from 2003 - 2005 and the L.A. Riptide (MLL - outdoor) from 2006 - 2008.   ​ A Type 1 (Juvenile) Diabetic, from Baltimore, Md., Brian did not let that hold him back from excelling in sports. A three-sport athlete in high school (ice hockey, soccer and lacrosse), he played both mens soccer and lacrosse at Chapman University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting in May, 1999.  He also more recently earned his Masters of Arts in Leadership Development from Chapman University in December, 2015 and enjoys utilizing tools from this experience towards coaching, youth development, and running organizations. In his free time, he loves spending time with his daughter and son, body surfing, cycling, and listening to live music.

Sarah Buchanan (Shada)

VARSITY-ASST COACH

Sarah is a seasoned lacrosse coach with a wealth of experience both on and off the field. Her journey in the sport began during her high school years in Petaluma, California, where she quickly fell in love with the game. Throughout her time at Santa Barbara City College and later at Dominican University of California in San Rafael, Sarah honed her skills as a player, laying the groundwork for her future in coaching. Transitioning seamlessly from player to mentor, Sarah found her calling in coaching youth lacrosse programs in her community. Her dedication and expertise were instrumental in the development of the CIF program at Petaluma High School, where she proudly served as Head Coach for six successful years. Despite relocating to Huntington Beach and embracing new roles as a parent and professional, Sarah's commitment to lacrosse remains unwavering. She continues to share her passion for the sport, dedicating her time to coaching and nurturing the next generation of players. Beyond the field, Sarah's true fulfillment lies in empowering young women, instilling in them the values of confidence, teamwork, and resilience through the game of lacrosse.

Cord Vandergrift

JV1 Co-HEAD COACH

Cord is a recently retired Commander from the Westminster Police Department and is allowing him more time to mentor young men and women through coaching sports. Cord is also a JV Football coach for Corona Del Mar.

Madison Guidry

JV 2 HEAD COACH

Madison is a dedicated and passionate girls lacrosse coach with a wealth of experience in the sport. With three years of coaching under her belt, she has proven to be a valuable asset to the teams she leads. Her coaching philosophy is centered on building not only exceptional lacrosse skills but also fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and a love for the game. As a former player herself, Maddie brings firsthand knowledge of the sport, having played for two years. This experience has given her a deep understanding of the game and the ability to relate to her players on a personal level, inspiring them to reach their full potential.
